What is a fertility pain body?

Eckhart Tolle talks of the pain body, I believe it is particularly relevant for the difficult experiences we have to go through when we are trying to conceive.

The FERTILITY PAIN BODY is an accumulation of painful experiences that we haven’t been able to fully face or accept at the time they happened on our fertility journey. 

Each leaves behind an energy form of EMOTIONAL PAIN.

THIS BUILDS UP over time and grows with each difficult experience, becoming an energy ENTITY consisting of old emotion. It creates a huge amount of stress and anxiety.

IT OFTEN TAKES OVER. The fertility pain body can awaken at anytime rising up and taking hold of you. It can hijack your current experience, forcing you away from the present moment, the here and now  in to an emotionally painful place – a collection of all your fertility journey emotions.

Here are a few common triggers that add to AND awaken the fertility pain body, but any experience can trigger it:-

1)    Negative pregnancy tests and getting your period

2)    Announcement of someone else’s pregnancy

3)    Stopped fertility treatment

4)    Baby showers

5)    Making fertility decisions

6)    Seeing babies in the street

7)    Seeing pregnant people 

 

WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT? 

AWARENESS

The fertility pain body doesn’t want you to observe it directly, it wants you to remain unconscious within it. 

As soon as you are aware you FEEL it as an energy field within you and by taking your attention into it, the identification is broken. Its force is reduced.  A higher dimension of consciousness comes in. AWARENESS HELPS BRING YOU BACK TO PRESENCE. As Eckhart says, ‘you are now the witness or the watcher of the pain body’.

Here are three ways to observe and dissolve the pain-body.

1) Watch out for any sign of unhappiness in yourself in whatever form—it may be the awakening of the fertility pain body. This can take the form of irritation, impatience, a somber mood, anger, rage, depression, guilt.   Catch the pain-body the moment it awakens from its dormant stage.

2) Observe the resistance within yourself. Observe the attachment to your pain. Be very alert. The resistance will reduce if you make it conscious and understand it as only energy.  Know that it is the fertility pain-body. Accept that it is there. Try and keep it as a FEELING in itself recognise it for that  - just energy lingering.  Don't judge yourself out of it. Stay present, and continue to be the observer of what is happening inside you.

3) Moving mindfulness meditations and heart-mindfulness practices are great way to move lingering energy through the body by aligning the mind, body, breath and spirit. In my practices with Harmony qigong I teach forms that are easy to do and reduce the force of the Fertility Pain body.
